How to Use This Activity
Individual Work
- Look at the three pictures on each slide.
- Choose which one is the best and explain why using comparatives/superlatives.
e.g. Pizza is tastier than salad. It’s the most delicious!
- Use at least one “as…as” phrase for comparison.
Salad isn’t as tasty as pizza.
Pair or Small Group Work
- Take turns choosing your favourite picture and saying why.
- Your partner must agree or disagree, giving their own reason.
A: The city is more exciting than the countryside.
B: I don’t think so. The countryside is more relaxing.
- Keep score for each correct or creative sentence (1 point).
- After all slides, the person/team with the most points wins.
Optional Team Version
- Divide the class into two or three teams.
- Show a slide → all teams discuss for 1 minute → each team presents their best comparison.
- The teacher (or another team) chooses the most accurate or creative answer.
- Add points and crown your “Battle of the Best Champion”!
