All About Thanksgiving

Short overview of the lesson:

- talk about Thanksgiving and its traditions;
- learn some new vocabulary;
- play a Genial.ly game What’s behind?
- read a short text about Thanksgiving traditions and complete the task;
- have fun looking for 10 differences and describing them;
- watch a video “Why Do We Eat Turkey on Thanksgiving” and complete the tasks;
- Thanksgiving word search. Revise the meaning of new words while doing it. For groups, students use different colours to comment on the screen (in Zoom) and compete who will find more words;
- Students write a short paragraph (up to 50 words) about things, people, experiences in their life they are really grateful for.
