Autumn Fortune Teller

How to use:

• Divide the students into pairs or small groups, or use the activity in a one-to-one lesson.
• Display the interactive Autumn Fortune Teller on the screen. Students take turns clicking on the crystal ball to reveal an autumn prediction.
• The student reads the prediction aloud and answers both follow-up questions. 
• Encourage them to explain their ideas, give reasons, and add details rather than giving one-word answers. 
• The other students can ask one additional question or say whether they think the prediction will come true.
• Continue until everyone has discussed several predictions or until time runs out.

Example:

Prediction: You’ll have to choose between comfort and adventure.

Answer: I might have to choose between spending a quiet weekend at home and going on a hiking trip with my friends. I’d probably choose adventure because I want to try something new and enjoy the autumn scenery. However, I’d check the weather forecast first!
