Back-to-School Discussion (Teens)
In this engaging icebreaker activity designed for B1-B2 level teens, students are presented with a set of 15 thought-provoking, school-related questions. Ideal for the first lesson after the summer break, this exercise fosters meaningful dialogue while warming up English language skills.
Students can work in pairs, small groups, or even one-on-one with the teacher to discuss these questions. The activity encourages students to utilize a variety of language structures, including conditional sentences ("If I were a principal, I would...") and hypothetical language ("What would you do if...").
Pairs or groups can also share their most intriguing discussions with the class. This serves as an excellent platform for practicing both speaking and listening skills, while also setting a comfortable and interactive classroom tone for the academic year ahead.
