Five Warm-Ups 2.0

Individual lessons
- Display one activity and give the student a moment to read the instructions or look at the images.
- Ask the student to complete the task and explain their ideas in as much detail as possible.
- Give 30–60 seconds to think before speaking if needed.
- Encourage the student to expand their answers with reasons, examples, or short stories.
- Ask follow-up questions to keep the conversation going (e.g. Why? What happened next? How would you feel? What would you do?).
- Focus on fluency, creativity, and natural communication rather than correcting mistakes at this stage.

Group lessons (including breakout rooms)
- Display one activity and explain the task.
- Put students into pairs or small groups (2–4 students).
- Give students time to complete the activity together and discuss their ideas.
- Encourage students to ask follow-up questions, compare answers, react to each other's ideas, and keep the conversation going.
- Invite each group to share one interesting answer, story, or discussion point with the class.
- Keep feedback focused on communication, creativity, and participation.
