Genially Battleship too...to / (not) enough...to
Involve your students in a lively Battleship game designed to reinforce the use of expressions like 'too...to' and '(not) enough...to'. Send the game link to your students and pair them up in Zoom breakout rooms. For optimal play, students should use their PCs or tablets to access the game.
Game rules:
Place 4 ships, 1 of each kind: one covering 4 squares, one covering 3 squares, one covering 2 squares, and the smallest ship covering 1 square. They can be horizontal or vertical, but the TOTAL number of ships SHOULD BE 4. Place them in YOUR OCEAN. Don't forget to leave one empty square between your ships.
Players take turns making shots by calling out the coordinates of a square (e.g., D5). The opponent responds with "hit" if it hits a ship or "miss" if it misses. If a player hits the last remaining square of a ship, the opponent says "sunk." Click the eye icon to view the task each time you make a shot.
Use white circles to mark the squares where you or your opponent missed, and yellow circles to mark the squares where you or your opponent hit a ship.
The first player to sink all 4 ships is the winner.
