Gerund Infinitive Bare Infinitive Speaking Scenarios

How to use:

• Share the game with students by sending them the link or displaying the material on the screen for the whole group.

• Explain the rules briefly:

  • Students work in pairs or teams.

  • They take turns choosing a scenario card.

  • They think of an answer, using the suggested phrase or any phrase from the provided list, and continue speaking, using gerund, infinitive, or bare infinitive forms.

  • After answering, they flip the card to check a possible answer and find out how many points they have earned.

  • Teams keep track of their points on a piece of paper or in a shared document.

  • If a team draws an "Oops!" card, they lose all their points.

• Play until all cards (18 cards) are used or time runs out.

• The team with the most points at the end wins!
