Influencer Talk – Intensifiers for Adjectives
Individual Work
Give each student a task card with a product or service to review. Make sure the instructions are clear (e.g. “Give a very positive review of a new laptop”).
Students give a short spoken review (5–6 sentences) using intensifiers and strong adjectives.
Pair or Group Work
Give different task cards to each student or group. They present their reviews to each other and ask follow-up questions using prompts (e.g. “Would you buy it again?”, “Was anything disappointing?”).
Encourage active listening and responses. Groups can vote on the best or most dramatic review.
Class Sharing
Invite volunteers to share their review with the whole class.
Ask the group follow-up questions like:
• What was the most convincing detail?
• Would you try or avoid this product?
• Have you had a similar experience?
