Inversion Genially Game
How To Use:
With Individual Students
-
Student Control: Share the game board link and let the student roll the dice and move their own token. If that’s not possible on your platform, they can tell you what to click.
-
Stretch the Task: If the student answers quickly, prompt them for an extra sentence, a different version, or an example from their life.
-
Reflect & Record: At the end, the student chooses their favourite “property” and explains why. Optionally, they can write down 2–3 of their best answers afterwards as homework.
With Small Groups (Online Class or Breakout Rooms)
-
Team Play: Divide the class into 2–3 teams. Each team chooses a colour and takes turns rolling the dice and moving their token. The “speaker” role rotates so everyone has a turn answering.
-
Breakout Room Rounds: In larger classes, share the board link and send pairs or trios into breakout rooms. They roll the dice, move their tokens, and play for 5–10 minutes before returning to compare progress.
-
Group Challenge: When a team lands on a square, all players suggest possible answers. The group decides whose is the best — most accurate, creative, or funny.
-
Class Debrief: After the game, invite groups to share their funniest or trickiest answers with the whole class. Students vote for the “best property owner” or “most creative answer.”
