Last Time...Next Time

How to use: 

1. Students will reflect on a past experience using the prompt “Last time I…” and then add a follow-up using “Next time I will…” to show what they’ve learned or how they would improve.

2. Show a card of “Last time…” prompts  Let students choose freely or assign randomly for variety.

3. Each student should speak for about 1–2 minutes. They must use both the past and future forms in their response.

4. Students can talk about real experiences or invent fictional ones—as long as they use correct grammar and stay on theme.

5. After a student speaks, encourage the group to ask a follow-up question or make a comment.
