Make Me See It
How to use:
1. Show the students a card
Present one prompt at a time on a card (physical or digital). You can choose the prompt or let the student pick it at random. Make sure everyone can see or hear the statement clearly.
2. Set a time limit
Give each student 1–2 minutes to share their thoughts. A short thinking break before speaking can also be helpful.
3. Encourage follow-up questions
After each speaker, invite the group to stay curious. Guide students to ask open-ended questions that extend or deepen the idea.
4. Mix up the format (optional)
Keep the energy fresh by changing how students interact. Try pairs, small groups, or a “circle share” format where everyone gets a turn.
5. Add a surprise twist (optional)
Midway through the activity, introduce a challenge:
– Ask students to switch sides and try to support the opposite idea.
– Have them build on the previous speaker’s point instead of starting fresh.
– Limit them to only 3 sentences or ban the word “I” to shift their language use.
