Messages in Bottles
How to use:
Option A: Whole Class Play
1. Screen-share the Genially presentation.
2. Ask a student to pick a bottle number.
3. Reveal the message inside the bottle.
4. Guide the discussion using the five questions.
5. Optionally, assign different students to take turns leading the storytelling.
Option B: Breakout Room Version (Collaborative)
1. Share the Genially link in the chat and ask students to open it in a new tab.
2. In breakout rooms (3–4 students), ask groups to choose 1–2 bottles.
3. Instruct them to:
• Read the message(s)
• Answer the five creative questions together
• Nominate one person to present
4. After time’s up, return to the main room and let each group share their story.
Tip for Engagement:
• Allow students to create their own messages in bottles for classmates to guess in future lessons.
