My Small Problem
Individual work
Display one slide at a time and give the student a moment to look at the picture and read the questions.
Ask the student to think about the last time something similar happened and tell the story.
Give 30–60 seconds to think before speaking.
Encourage longer answers by asking follow-up questions (When did it happen? What happened next? How did it end?).
Focus on fluency and natural storytelling rather than correcting mistakes at this stage.
Group work (including breakout rooms)
Show the slide and explain the task.
Put students into pairs or small groups (2–4 students).
Each student gets one/several slides and tells a short story about a similar experience from their life.
Encourage students to ask each other questions and react to the stories.
After the discussion, invite a few students to share interesting stories with the whole class.
Keep feedback focused on communication and participation.
