Personal Profiles - Introducing People

How to use:

• Give each student a profile card (digital or printed).
• Students pretend to be the person on their card.
• They introduce themselves in the first person using full sentences.
• Partners ask and answer questions about their new identity.
• After changing partners, students introduce someone they met using the third person.
• They unscramble the extra detail on their card and say it as a full sentence.
• In online classes, students can be assigned partners in breakout rooms.
• Offline, students walk around and talk to different partners.
• Variations: find someone with a similar interest, play "Guess Who?", or use speed introductions.
