How to Use This Activity

Online:

• Breakout groups: Divide students into small groups and assign each group a different set of slides.
• Story creation: Students analyse the pictures and collaboratively write a short story using the assigned tense.
• Challenge step: Encourage students to ask each other questions about their stories (e.g. “Why is he playing the guitar?” or “What happened before this moment?”).
• Class sharing: Each group presents their story to the class, and the teacher provides constructive feedback on grammar, fluency, and creativity.

Offline:

• Picture sets: Provide printed or digital pictures to small groups.
• Discussion and writing: Groups discuss each picture and craft a short story using the correct tense.
