For Group Work:
- Breakout Rooms: Divide students into breakout rooms.
- Assign a Shopping List: Give each group a unique list of items.
- Discussion and Brainstorming: Allow students time to discuss and brainstorm ideas in their group.
- Story Creation: Each group crafts their story using the given items.
- Presentation: Groups present their stories to the entire class.
- Feedback & Discussion: After each presentation, discuss each story. Encourage positive feedback.
For Individual Work:
- Assign a Shopping List: Give each student a unique list of items.
- Think & Write: Students individually think about the context in which these items might be used and create their stories.
- One-on-One Discussion: Students share their stories.
- Feedback: Provide feedback on vocabulary, grammar, and creativity. Encourage peer reviews if possible.
Tips for Engagement:
- Allow students to create their own shopping lists to challenge their groupmates.
- Incorporate multimedia: Let students present their stories as a comic strip, video, or audio recording.
