Your students have to think of 2 similarities and 2 differences between the suggested things (like contacts and glasses, sofa and bed etc).
For example: Sofa and bed. They are similar because, they are both used for relaxing and they are both pieces of furniture. They are different because sofa is usually placed in the living room and bed in the bedroom. The second difference is that sofa is used mostly for sitting on and bed for sleeping.
