Spy Game (Food)

Speaking activity ENG HUB Pro

‼️For groups only!

🧩It's a social deduction game where players try to figure out who the spy is among them. Each player is given a name of a dish, except for the spy who doesn't know what dish it is. Players then take turns asking each other questions about it trying to figure out who the spy is, while the spy tries to blend in and figure out the secret word.

The game is usually played with a group of 3-8 players and is played over several rounds. Each round lasts about 4-8 minutes and ends when either the spy is identified or the time runs out. If the spy is identified, the non-spy players win the round and get some points (you decide how many). If the time runs out or the wrong person is accused, the spy wins the round and gets the points.

⁉️Take one dish for one round. If you are playing online, send the same dish card privately to each player except for one, who will receive the Spy card. It is better to assign the role of Spy to a talkative and creative person who will not be shy to play the role.

After all players have checked their cards, they start asking and answering questions. Questions should not be obvious, so the spy does not guess the secret word right away.

If you are playing in person, the number of cards with the same dish should be the same as the number of players + one Spy card.

Have fun!
