The Best and The Worst Part

Speaking activity ENG HUB Pro

How to Use:

  • Divide students into pairs, groups, or have them play individually.
  • Assign each pair, group, or student one card or a set of cards with different categories to answer.

Group Activities:

  • Students can work together in breakout rooms:
  • Discuss the same card and share their answers with the whole class later.
  • Work on different cards and then switch to discuss new ones.

Variations:

Hot Seat: Choose one student to sit in the “hot seat” and answer a question from the list in front of the entire class. After they share their thoughts, others can agree, disagree, or add to the discussion.

Debate Style: For some topics, divide the class into two sides. One side argues for the "best" aspects, and the other argues for the "worst." Then, switch sides so each group explores both perspectives.
