The Unwritten CV

Individual work

• The teacher assigns one or more cards to each student.
• The student reads the card and reflects on the experience described. They think about the skills, strengths, qualities, or lessons they gained from it and turn the experience into an honest CV entry.
• The teacher can model a sample answer before the activity.

For example: A team project where you did most of the work — Developed leadership, initiative, and problem-solving skills while ensuring a team project was completed successfully despite uneven participation.

Pair / Group work (including breakout rooms)

• The teacher assigns one or more cards to each pair or group.
• Each student reads their card and shares their CV entry.
• Their partner reacts and iscusses:
  
  What skills or qualities does this experience reveal?
  Are these the most important lessons someone could learn from it?
  Would they describe the experience in the same way or differently?
  What other transferable skills might come from this situation?
  
  
• Then they swap roles with a new card.

Class sharing

• Invite some students or groups to share their most interesting CV entries with the class.
• The students can discuss:
  which experiences generated the most valuable skills
  which lessons were the most surprising
  which situations were the most difficult to translate into CV language
  whether different people identified similar or completely different skills from the same experience
  what experiences teach us the most in real life.
