How to Use:

Individual lessons

  1. Show the slide and give students a moment to look at all the options.

  2. Ask students to choose one or more items, following the rule on the slide.

  3. Give students 30–60 seconds of thinking time before they speak.

  4. Students explain their choices using their own reasons and examples.

  5. Ask short follow-up questions.

  6. Avoid correcting language during this stage; focus on meaning and interaction.

Group lessons (including breakout rooms)

  • Put students into pairs or small groups (2–4 students).

  • Each student explains their choice(s).

  • Students react to each other’s answers (agree, disagree, compare).

  • Invite brief feedback or one interesting idea from each group in the main room.

⏱ Suggested time: 5–10 minutes, depending on group size and level.
