Start with one tongue twister to help students familiarise themselves with the sounds. Begin by having students say the tongue twisters slowly. Encourage them to focus on articulating each sound clearly. This helps them recognise the difference between /ʃ/ (sh) and /tʃ/ (ch). Once students are confident with the slow pronunciation, challenge them to say the tongue twisters faster. Use a timer to add an element of fun and competition.
Keep the atmosphere light and enjoyable. Tongue twister practice should be a fun way to learn, so encourage laughter and enjoyment throughout the activity.
