Which One's Out? 4.0

Speaking activity Free

"Which One Is Out?" is a fun and simple speaking activity designed for A1-A2 level students. The goal is for students to look at three pictures and decide which one they like or need the least. This encourages basic conversation skills, vocabulary use, and reasoning in a relaxed and interactive way.

How to Conduct the Activity:

  • Prepare the Cards – Each card contains three pictures related to a category (e.g., food, transport, clothes).
  • Assign the Cards – Give one card to each student, pair, or small group.
  • Discussion Time – Students look at the pictures and decide which one is out. They must say their choice and explain why using simple sentences.

Using Zoom Breakout Rooms (for Online Classes):

  • Divide students into small breakout rooms.
  • Each student shares their answer and explains their choice.
  • Encourage them to ask follow-up questions ("Do you like pizza?" / "Why do you think that?").
  • After discussion, bring everyone back to the main session to share answers with the class.
